Do you love your Kindle?

I certainly do - indeed I have decided it is time to share this love with lots of children who have yet to experience the joy of reading on a Kindle. I am hence trying to get people to make a small donation to help me.

In Romania, it is very hard to get hold of free, high quality English books. I want to prove to the world that using a Kindle in the Primary classroom is an excellent way forward.

I am currently trying to raise enough money and awareness to buy 15 3G Kindles for a class of Romanian children. I need these devices as I am about to teach them not only English buy also history, science, geography and art... all of which, though you may be very surprised, are excellent ways to use a Kindle.

Amazingly when I ask other teachers for their opinions on if a Kindle works in the classroom, no-one knows. Some say it is a great idea! Others think that the lack of colour is a problem. To me, with no real alternative for providing a great education in English, who wants to provide the children with access to millions of English classic and modern works, I think this is the only way forward. I just need people to help me.

All I am asking for is $5 here, or £5 there... slowly this will build up and we will see if a Kindle really does help a child read better!
